The locational advantage of the power plant lies in its close proximity to the coal mines as well as to the Hirakud reservoir. This gives the company the distinct advantage of low cost of Raw Material leading to low cost generation. It has also undertaken the construction of seven Mini Hydel stations having a total capacity of 5075 kW as a technological demonstration.

Job Description Responsible to lead the mechanical maintenance teams of main plant and BOP and execute best maintenance practices in compliance with all statutory and EHS procedure and regulations.

Guide the team in spare parts planning, inventory control and planning for annual overhauling/capital overhauling, renovation and modernization works, performance evaluations and performing residual life assessment

Execution of reliability centred maintenance practices and administration of Maintenance Management System.

Perform a variety of administrative duties as well as responsible for EHS and other relevant compliances.

Responsible for development of subordinates and succession planning, preparing plant budget forecasts including Capex Budgets, formulating strategy and cost minimisation.
Desired Profile B. Tech/BE Mechanical Engineering with 14.00 + yrs of experience out of which 4-5 years in a lead role in the relevant area of Mechanical maintenance of power plant of capacity not less than 100 MW, conversant with modern maintenance management tools like CMMS, RCA, RCM practices.
