Designation

R & D Software Group - Lead Engineer & Engineer

Job Description

The candidate will be placed in the Air Quality Control System R&D team at Kolkata as R&D Lead Engineer. The main responsibilities will be:

• Lead R&D projects and team for developing AQCS controllers
• Prepare requirement/concept specification, test plan, test reports and other documents
• Hardware & Software Design as per requirement
• Perform lab and field testing for evaluation of new concepts
• Will be responsible and actively involved in all phases of product development life cycle

Desired Profile

Essential Requirement:

Required engineer with 6 years’ experience in following

- Sound practical Object Oriented Design Methodologies.
- Experience on Application Software using C#.Net, C++ , VB.Net
- Well versed with fundamentals of XML, SQL, LINQ, Stored Procedure
- Experience on software development under Linux, Windows
- Good understanding of software development life cycle

- Exposure to hardware design & development using 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers
- Good knowledge in communication protocols like RS232/485, i2C, SPI,

TCP/IP, UDP, Modbus, Fieldbus and Profibus
- Good understanding of ARM, PPC and DSP architecture

Tools knowledge/experience:

Visual Studio 2008/2010, Platform Builder, SharePoint 2010

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication/ Electronics and Instrumentation with minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA
- Passed 10th and 12th with minimum 70% marks

Desirable Requirement:
- Exposure to development of Analog and digital circuits using micros, memories, FPGA/CPLDs, communication buses and display interfaces
- Comfortable in using tools such as digital storage oscilloscope, logic analyzer, other hardware simulation tools
- Aptitude towards R&D projects.
- Strong analytical skills and logical reasoning.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a group
- Domain knowledge in Power System Protection, Measurements and Command and Control.
- Shall be an international team player, with a methodical and structured approach to the work, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
